A founding partner of Harsip & Stuart, P.C., for almost 40 years, Barry has practiced in the area of family law litigation, mediation/conciliation and collaborative law. 
​
​A graduate of Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts and Boston State College (now UMass Boston) with a master’s degree in education and Suffolk University Law School, Barry is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and has been a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1996 and a member of the Inn for over 15 years.  Since 2007, he has also been chosen as a Family Law Super Lawyer Boston Magazine.  He is also a member of the Massachusetts Council of Family Mediation, the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association.

​Barry has devoted his career to helping families and his clients through the emotionally-challenging legal process, through his work as a mediator, conciliator, collaborative attorney, guardian ad litem and parenting coordinator.
